Call for reviewers
We are recruiting reviewers for AI and the Self, a NeurIPS 2026 workshop. We welcome advanced PhD students, postdocs, faculty, and independent researchers with backgrounds in AI/ML, NLP, HCI, cognitive science, psychology, philosophy of mind, sociology or anthropology, education, digital mental health or healthcare, ethics, law or policy, and related fields.
We especially welcome reviewers with an interest in interdisciplinary submissions, and even if your expertise is rooted in one discipline or method, your perspective would be highly valuable. Reviewers will typically be assigned up to 2-3 papers and should have an up-to-date OpenReview profile.
Call for papers
We invite submissions at the intersection of AI/ML and human selfhood, spanning technical, empirical, and humanistic perspectives. The workshop is interested in questions around identity, agency, authenticity, dependence, self-modeling, memory, authorship, value change, culture, and AI-mediated reflection.
- Long papers: up to 8 pages of content, plus unlimited references and appendix.
- Short papers: up to 4 pages of content, plus unlimited references and appendix.
- All submissions are non-archival and must be anonymized for double-blind review.
- Work in progress, early findings, and interdisciplinary themes are welcome.
